Slay Your Remote Learning Videos with Jon Corippo and Matt Miller

One would be hard-pressed to find two guys better suited for helping you teach better and work less while ditching your physical textbooks than Jon Corippo and Matt Miller.

Both of these guys have been at the forefront of re-thinking education and here they team up to help teachers make simple upgrades to the videos they are sending out while teaching virtually. May we all bring this much energy to our students.

In this video, Matt and Jon host a live chat while answering a number of questions based around teaching with video.

Worst Preso Ever: Jon Corippo explains how to integrate this gem into any curriculum

Here is a gem from Jon Corippo that I have used over and over with kids of all ages as well as with professionals in workshops.

It's the "Worst Preso Ever" activity and it is part of the Smart Start program Jon developed for establishing culture and foundational skills when he led the opening of Minarets High School in Central California.

In the video Jon gives the rationale and the steps to how making awful presentations can lead to really great ones and a community of learners and creators.

Demystifying the new iMovie

Jon Corippo and I presented on Advanced iMovie techniques at the 2013 MACUL conference in Detroit. Since then, iMovie has undergone some significant changes.

A number of the old habit workflows no longer work. This was the scene at the Connected Educator Un/conference about a month ago. Several of us were completely stumped at using green screen in the newest version.

Jon recently overhauled the Advanced iMovie Techniques slide deck for the new version, demystifying all of the changes. Enjoy.
